West Ham United have seemingly been handed a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United.

Indeed, according to club insider ExWHUemployee, Marko Arnautovic returned to training earlier this week, and is now in line to turn out against the 20-time English champions.

Arnautovic limped out of West Ham’s 3-1 win over Everton earlier this month, and subsequently missed their goalless draw with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini claimed that Arnautovic failed a late fitness test ahead of the Chelsea clash, but the Hammers still managed to pick up a goalless draw.

Next up for the London club is a home game against Man United on Saturday, and it seems that Arnautovic will be ready to return to the starting XI.

The news has been well received by the West Ham fans, with a number now feeling confident that their team will overcome a Red Devils side that were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Championship side Derby County on Tuesday night.

Leeds fans on Twitter have been ripping into Alioski for Hull display

Whilst getting three points is all that matters to the supports normally, plenty of them couldn’t get over how poor Ezgjan Alioski was yesterday in the club’s 1-0 win over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium. The Macedonian winger didn’t have his finest game and the supporters picked up on that, slating the 26-year-old for what was a poor performance.

The fans pulled no punches in their assessments of the winger and whilst some of it is justified, some of it was a tad too far. Some of the Whites claimed he needed to be benched whilst others called him a circus act and if Alioski was to read some of the supporters comments it would be a real confidence destroyer for the man who’s bagged himself a tidy return of three goals and two assists in 11 Championship matches so far this season.

The Macedonian’s tally of three goals is only bettered by Kemar Roofe’s four strikes for Leeds in the Championship this season and considering his contribution to goals this season you can see why most fans might be curious as to why he’s been taking so much flak from other fans. For most, it’s just the shocking lack of consistency that has been bothering them and it’s hard to argue with that, as the 26-year-old has failed to keep his levels up across all of the club’s eleven games this season.

You can read the negative Whites’ comments on Alioski here:

The fans are far from happy with AlioskiÂdespite his three goals this season and he’ll be keen to prove them all wrong as soon as possible.

Tom Davies is thriving in new Everton captaincy role

[ad_pod ]

Everton star Tom Davies has been relishing the opportunity of captaining the Toffees in recent games and looks to be coping well with the pressures that come with this big responsibility.

Davies became the club’s youngest ever captain at the end of August when he led them to a 3-1 win over Rotherham United in the Carabao Cup.

The 20-year-old’s performance and leadership qualities impressed manager Marco Silva and he has since captained the side on three other occasions.

Despite being one of five different Toffees skippers this season, he certainly looks set in making the position his own permanent one sometime in the future.

Everton’s consecutive victories in the Premier League over Fulham and Leicester City  have definitely been a statement surrounding Davies’s capabilities of motivating the team and staying calm during difficult times. He also led the team out at the Emirates against Arsenal and while the Gunners claimed a 2-0 win, the visitors dominated the match deep into the second half, which would’ve given the youngster a great deal of confidence.

Having been at Goodison Park since 2009 and come through the Everton youth ranks, the idea of Davies being a possible future captain is giving him extra inspiration to perform well on the pitch.

He told Evertonfc.com following the 2-1 win against Leicester last weekend: “Being captain now is making me love it even more at Everton so I just want to continue doing what I’m doing.”

The central midfielder made his debut for the club in 2016 against Southampton at the age of only 17 and scored his first ever goal as in a famous 4-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in January 2017. With more than 70 appearances to his name already, the captaincy role isn’t that much of a surprise with the persistent growth and improvement he has shown since becoming a first-team player.

Silva’s men have been firing hot and cold since the start of the season and given the money they’ve spent in the summer, they’re not nearly where they want to be in terms of log points and results. Three wins, three draws and two losses have Everton sitting in 11th spot in the Premier League. However, under captain Davies they seem to be starting to hit their stride.

Revealed: Majority of Tottenham fans want the midfield upgraded in January

[ad_pod ]

Tottenham fans have been running the rule over their injury crisis, and the majority of fans think the midfield should the biggest focus during the January transfer window.

Tottenham fans were understandably infuriated by their lack of summer transfer activity, as they were the only side in the top four tiers of English football not to sign a single player.

Mauricio Pochettino has worked his magic nonetheless, winning six out of eight Premier League games, but the boss is currently without several of his key weapons.

Both Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have missed the last few matches, and Jan Vertonghen is expected to be out until at least November.

While the injury to the Belgian leaves the North Londoners very light at the back, it’s the midfield where fans are desperate for some fresh blood.

Mousa Dembele has shown signs of his age this season and Eric Dier has taken plenty of flak for his performances, and 43 per cent of fans said the middle of the park should be their trop priority in January.

Liverpool should reignite interest in Fekir with Zielinski closing in on new deal

Liverpool have coped with the departure of Philippe Coutinho remarkably well, but reports in the British media suggest that Jurgen Klopp will not be satisfied until he has sourced a replacement.

The suggestion that Liverpool still need to replace their former Brazilian playmaker is slowly becoming a thing of the past following a string of exceptional performances from Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Switzerland international has been electric in the number ten role and the summer signing is already beginning to look like an absolute stroke of genius by the Reds, and a recent report from the Daily Express will give Klopp further reason to abandon his pursuit of an attacking midfielder.

Indeed, the report claims that long-term transfer target Piotr Zielinski is poised to sign a new contract with Napoli, with talks already underway following his impressive start to the season.

The setback will arrive as a blow for Liverpool in their search for a new attacking midfielder, and it’s a development which should force them to reignite their interest in Nabil Fekir.

The France international seemed certain to be heading to Anfield in the summer transfer window until a potential deal appeared to collapse at the eleventh hour, but he has put his transfer disappointment behind him and started the season in inspired form.

Fekir (valued at £58.5 million by Transfermarkt) has been a shining light in Lyon’s attacking midfield and he has already notched three goals and provided three assists from 8 appearances in all-competitions, including a goal and an assist during a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Whilst Shaqiri is playing with such intensity and class it’s difficult to see why Klopp would pursue the services of another attacking midfielder but, squad dynamics are prone to sudden and rapid change, so there’s no doubt that Fekir should be firmly on the club’s radar now that Zielinski looks destined to put pen to paper on a new deal with Napoli.

Celtic fans don’t hold much respect for Marvin Compper

Out in the cold at the Glasgow club, Marvin Compper has come out swinging.

The experienced centre-back joined in the January window but has found it hard to establish himself in Brendan Rodgers’ side to the extent he is yet to play in the Scottish Premiership since his move from RB Leipzig.

Despite his lack of game time, the one time Germany international has shown fight in his comments to Bild-Zeitung, stating even his own team-mates are questioning why he does not play.

As reported by The Scotsman, Compper said: “I’m fit and I train very well. Even my team-mates do not understand why I do not play.

“In the summer I had a calf injury. I got an athletic trainer and a physio at my own expense and made myself fit.

“Now it is up to the coach Brendan Rodgers to finally give me the trust.”

Despite adding that he hopes to play for Celtic, these Hoops fans do not seem keen on the idea…

Potter’s plan for Swansea finally coming to fruition

According to The Swansea City website, The Swans’ defender Mike van der Hoorn is welcoming the opportunity to hand the captain’s armband back to Leroy Fer.

Fer is on the comeback trail from a serious injury after rupturing his achilles, and is slowly being introduced back to action.

But van der Hoorn, who has been the stand in captain in his compatriot’s absence, is relishing teaming up with Fer for the rest of the season. It was originally manager Graham Potter’s plan to have the Dutch duo in a captain and vice-captain role, with Fer wearing the armband.

Van der Hoorn says that the fact that both players speak the same language helps them in their decision making and captaincy on the pitch. However, this has not been something that they have been able to exploit too much this season.

This is just another reason why Potter has had a tough few months at the helm in south Wales. His team has been ravaged by injury, with this being a glaring example. However, with Fer nearing his return, it is a sign that Potter’s plan can start falling into place. This bodes well for Swansea fans, as it looks as though the club have been through the toughest period of their season.

The Swans currently sit in eighth place in the Championship, only six points behind leaders Sheffield United, and only two points behind sixth place Derby. With their leader and talisman Fer soon to be 100% fit, this is only promising for the club.

Liverpool fans destroy Guardiola after bizarre comments

[ad_pod ]

Loads of Liverpool fans are absolutely rinsing Pep Guardiola, after the Manchester City boss proved he is still hurting over last season’s Champions League clash.

Raheem Sterling was awarded one of the most bizarre penalties you will ever see against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, and Liverpool fans can’t quite believe Guardiola’s verdict on the incident.

The former Reds wonderkid raced through on goal in the first half, only to trip on the turf and tumble to the ground. The referee awarded a penalty, despite the fact that the Shakhtar defender was not even in touching distance of Sterling.

[brid autoplay=”true” video=”327140″ player=”12034″ title=”Rafa’s Pub Facts Leicester Trump Man City Chelsea & Liverpool”]

It certainly was not a dive from the English international, but many rival fans have said he should have alerted the referee to his mistake.

Guardiola said after the match that the youngster should indeed have told the referee, before bizarrely claiming James Milner should have done the same last season.

“Last season, Milner could say the pass to the second goal in the 44th minute was a legal goal,” the Man City boss said.

That goal would have put Manchester City up 2-0 at the Etihad, but was incorrectly ruled out for offside. Leroy Sane was in an offside position before scoring, but the last touch had come from Milner.

Reds’ fans are destroying Pep for the comment, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

Revealed: Majority of West Bromwich Albion fans want Rondon sold this summer

[ad_pod ]

West Bromwich Albion recently went through a winless spell, but they managed to get back on track against Leeds United last weekend.

Darren Moore’s side earned a 4-1 victory at The Hawthorns, which moved them up to fifth in the Championship table, five points adrift of top spot.

The Midlands outfit have the ideal attack to help them achieve promotion back to the top flight.

Dwight Gayle, Jay Rodriguez and Harvey Barnes have been an impressive trio, but the big concern is that both Gayle and Barnes are only at the club on loan deals.

The Baggies secured Gayle’s signature after allowing Salomon Rondon to join Newcastle United on a similar arrangement.

The Venezuelan international has taken time to find his feet at St James’ Park, but he finally made an impression last weekend by scoring twice against Bournemouth.

With that in mind, we asked you what West Brom should do with Rondon at the end of the season.

If he goes on a goalscoring run perhaps they should consider keeping him long-term, but the general consensus judging from our poll seems to be a desire to sell.

Aston Villa should make loan swoop for Timothy Weah

[ad_pod ]

Timothy Weah is keen to leave Paris Saint-Germain on loan during the January transfer window, and Aston Villa should swoop for the 18-year-old.

What’s the story?

Weah joined PSG from New York Red Bulls in 2014, and signed his first professional contract with the French champions in 2017.

Since then, the teenager has scored twice in six first-team appearances, with both of those goals coming in three games this term.

Weah told reporters last week – in quotes carried by the Daily Mail – that he was keen to leave PSG on loan during the January window in search of more regular action.

Weah went on to start for USA in their 3-0 defeat to England on Thursday night, and has already been capped on eight occasions by his national team.

There is no question that a number of clubs will be closely monitoring developments with the youngster, and Villa should make a move at the start of 2019.

Why should Villa move for Weah?

PSG think a lot of Weah, but it is difficult to see the teenager playing too much football between now and the end of the season.

A loan move makes sense for both the club and the player, and a switch to England would surely appeal.

The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…

Weah – son of the brilliant George Weah – might not see too much action if he moved to a Premier League club, but could become a key player for a team in the second tier.

Capable of playing in a number of different positions in the final third, Weah would relish the chance to play alongside on-loan Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham.

Abraham has five league goals since arriving at Villa Park, and Championship defences would certainly not relish lining up against the two exciting attackers.
